June 26 - Grieg Me One More Time

In case you haven't figured it out yet, I have to tell you that this boat ain't going to Oslo, fast or slow. I kind of wish we were going there. I would really like to see Oslo and I'm not ready to leave Norway yet, she said wistfully. But we are sailing back to Southampton instead.

Here is the take-away from this trip.

1. Norway has a lot of:

Fjords, islands, waterfalls, fishing villages, mountains, dried cod, hair salons, neat and tidy farms, statues of fishermen, expensive coffee, Nordic sweaters, Vikings, tunnels, cloudberry jam, cheese slicers, trolls

2. Everybody speaks English

3. Norway is very expensive

4. I think Norway just might be more beautiful than Alaska
