My body is back home, but I must have left my sleep cycle in Norway.
Our trip home was actually pretty smooth. We had a nice breakfast at the executive lounge in the hotel. Then we had a nice late-morning snack at the Aer Lingus lounge. Then we had an afternoon meal on the flight to Iceland. Then we had a dinner on the flight to Anchorage.
It's hard to read. It says: The Icelandic word for bachelor is piparsveinn which translates to pepperboy
Icelandair gives you plastic toothpicks
On the flight to Iceland we were joined by a group of 90 high school students and 7 intrepid chaperones. They were actually quite well-behaved.
The bathrooms in the airport at Reykjavik are interesting, but quite nice. Each stall is a little room three times the size we are used to. There is a very high tech device to wash your hands with.
It looks like an airplane and it comes with instructions. It sounds like an airplane, too.
When we had stopped in Iceland on our way over, the area around the airport was bleak and barren. Now it has been transformed into a meadow full of lupine.
Our flight from REY to ANC passed over Greenland, and this time it was clear and I got to see Greenland.
NEWS FLASH: There is NOTHING there.
Having left REY at 16:30, we landed in ANC an hour earlier, at 15:30. So why were we so tired?
Belated welcome home! Yes...they always say - Iceland is green and Greenland is ice. Have to say I'm not a big fan of ordinary items that require instructions! Like looking at a microwave having NO IDEA how to warm you coffee for 60 seconds! ;-) ;-) ;-)
